Reflective Insulation

Fi-Foil’s reflective insulation has the performance of both a radiant barrier and traditional insulation combined, when used in enclosed air spaces in walls or ceilings. Both Fi-Foil’s single and multilayer reflective insulation products are designed with low-emittance surfaces and expander technology to reduce radiation and radiant heat transfer, as well as reduce convection and conduction. Products include AA2 Vapor Shield™, M-Shield™, VR Plus Shield™, and the HY-Fi® Hybrid Insulation System.

Attic Radiant Barriers

Attic radiant barriers by Fi-Foil are typically used to reduce summer heat gain and winter heat loss in both new building construction and retrofit. They increase comfort, lower energy costs, and help improve the longevity of HVAC systems. Fi-Foil attic radiant barriers are very effective in hot climates and are often used with other thermal insulation like fiberglass and spray foam. Products include Silver Shield™ Multi-Layer Attic Radiant Barrier and Radiant Shield™ Two-Sided Radiant Barrier.

Metal Building Insulation

Fi-Foil provides advanced metal building insulation systems that reduce radiant heat transfer and provide R-value for improved thermal performance and comfort in metal buildings. SCIF Barriers

Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) barriers are designed to block radio frequency (RF) and electromagnetic frequency (EF) interference to protect sensitive or classified information. They are used in conference rooms, government and military facilities, security, and medical administration. Fi-Foil RF Shield™ meets or exceeds NSA-approved TEMPEST facility minimum requirements to shield effectiveness at 378 frequencies. It includes tear-resistant, 99% pure aluminum foil with an inner layer of fiberglass reinforcing and kraft paper, which also reduces radiant heat and sound transfer.

Air Barriers

Fi-Foil air barriers are used to restrict heat and water vapor transfer in between conditioned and unconditioned air spaces, providing a better-performing and more comfortable building envelope alongside other mass insulation products. Especially useful in high humidity areas, Fi-Foil air barriers are made up of tough, puncture-resistant material that is designed to not tear. Fi-Foil air barriers are commonly used in attic knee walls, bathrooms, stairwells, fireplaces, and more. Products include SkyFlex™ and Skyflex VT™.
