The BIBS system is different than traditional insulation applications. Find the most common questions about certification below, and for additional questions, contact your local Service Partners branch.
Does a Company Have to Be Certified to Install the BIBS System?
The BIBS system is a certified system and can only be installed by contractors that complete the certification training course. Certification is one of the biggest points of differentiation for choosing the BIBS system. You have the trust of knowing that you have a certified high-performance system when installed correctly by a trained and certified contractor.
What Does “Certified” Mean?
The BIBS system is the only certified blow-in blanket system available today. Having a certified system means you can trust that the contractor has been trained and certified on the proper installation and testing process for the BIBS system. Our established network of insulation specialists extends across the United States and Canada. Other similar systems can’t provide this same level of performance, and you can see it in the results.
Is There a Special Training to Be a Certified BIBS HP System Installer?
The BIBS HP system training is an extended curriculum that ensures the contractor can properly install the foam and fiber system to the exact specifications of the BIBS system. This extended training program includes additional classroom and field training requirements.
How Long Does the BIBS System Contractor Certification Last?
Certified contractors who are installing the BIBS system must maintain their certification status. Certified professionals must complete in-person classroom and field training and also pass the BIBS system certification test. Then, to maintain certification status, the contractor must complete an online recertification test every three years. Every six years, you must complete an additional in-person, classroom training.
