The Certificate of Knowledge demonstrates how a range of components of the home work together to affect the home’s overall performance. The Building Science Principle certificate allows you to offer universal advice to home owners seeking information about home energy assessments and retrofits. You will also be able to identify potential home performance problems, and know when to call any of the expert BPI certified professionals below:

  • Building Analyst
  • Envelope Professional
  • Air Leakage Control Installer (RBEWHALCI)
  • Heating Professional
  • AC/Heat Pump Professional
  • Multifamily Professional
  • Manufactured Housing Professional

Service Partners is pleased to offer a BPI Analyst and Envelope Professional training class. This class covers training and certification for both the Analyst Professional and the Envelope Professional. The course consists of a full week (5 days) of classroom training, field training, proctored written exams and field exams. This class emphasizes a more important understanding of the Blower Door.

The Blower Door portion of the training helps the contractor now and in the future as it becomes a greater part of the building code.

Earning the IDL certification is an affordable way for technicians of home builders, framers, remodelers and building contractors to achieve the skills needed to offer duct leakage and blower door tests, in compliance with IECC codes for new homes. Certified professionals with the IDL training are important to building code officials, builders and homeowners.
