DESCRIPTION

Knauf Basement Wall Insulation is a flexible fiber glass blanket with a choice of reinforced vapor retarders.

APPLICATION

It is suitable for affixing to the interior side of basement masonry walls, and it provides cost- effective thermal insulation for low-traffic areas of the home.

• Reinforced foil and white vinyl facings provide protection from abuse while providing a pleasant, aesthetic appearance.

Surface Burning Characteristics

• Does not exceed 25 Flame Spread, 50 Smoke Developed when tested in accordance with ASTM E 84.

Thermal Resistance @ 75°F (24°C) Mean Temperature (ASTM C 518)

• R-11 @ 3.5" (89 mm).
• R-19 @ 6" (152 mm).

Service Temperature (ASTM C 411)

• Maximum 250°F (121°C)

Microbial Growth (ASTM C 1338)

• Does not support microbial growth.

Water Vapor Permeance (ASTM E 96, Procedure A)

• White-vinyl (VSK) and FSK-foil facings have a water vapor permeance of 0.1 perms.

Water Vapor Sorption (ASTM C 1104)

• Less than 5% by weight.
